Slate is a natural metamorphic rock formed 500 million years ago. The Stone Mill slates are newly quarried in the United States and hand cut to size at the Stone Mill factory in Connecticut. This plaque is available as a horizontal memorial sign with the border engraved as shown.

Each plaque is highlighted with durable enamels intended to last as long as the slate plaque itself. The Memorial plaques are engraved and highlighted in black on beautiful green slate with a design also in black.

The fine-grained nature of slate is a perfect medium for carving. Each design, border or personalized line of text are deeply carved into the slate. The three dimensional shadowing is very effective. You can choose from four (4) pet prints for your plaque. This plaque displays your pet’s name at the top and the years they spent with you on the bottom.
